Ten years of Fulmen Records

A retrospective

We celebrate our 10th Anniversary with an art exhibition that combines music with photography, video and illustration.

From 15th to 24th August 2024 at HilbertRaum, Reuterstraße 31, 12047 Berlin.

Ten years ago, back in 2014, Fulmen Records was born, opening a gate to another dimension, a portal linking different worlds, from which new creatures arrived at this plane. We celebrate this 10 years anniversary with a very special exhibition at HilbertRaum.

DIOSES Y MONSTRUOS

Myth has always been an important aspect of the Fulmen aesthetic. It builds a pantheon of its own, present in all outputs: music, photography, illustration, video and performance. References to classical Greco-Roman tradition are frequent, and the use of mystical imagery is also to be observed. With the use of such symbology, Fulmen aspires to attain its ultimate goal: to make this place a more beautiful one, to create beauty and therefore pleasure, so that our existence can become more enjoyable. This world is not only physical, there are also invisible forces in action.

THE RED ROOM

The red room shows a selection of analogue photography in black and white. All pictures in this part of the show have been taken with second-hand automatic cameras from the 90s and different types of 35 mm film. They cover a production period that goes from 2018 to 2023 and the locations include Berlin, Venezia and Fuerteventura. This space is also an installation where visitors can dive into the red Rorschach that’s typical of Fulmen graphic design. The heart of the beast.

THE BLACK ROOM

A space dedicated to Fulmen Records video production, from official music videos to clips used for party promotion and the premiere of some previously unreleased material. Music videos include Rätsel, Neubauten (Zink), Ia and the brand new Neón. Here, you can also watch the promotional clips for parties such as Gender Distortion and FulmEUN Extravaganza, and two video-collages made by El Fulminador for the series „Videos apócrifos” with music from his album „Organometaloide“.

THE WHITE ROOM

The white room is dedicated to the body of illustration that has defined the Fulmen brand image during the whole decade. This installation captures the fluent evolution through different styles and color palettes, from comic-like representations to pictorial landscapes and abstract motives. Illustration and collage as a glue that also holds the musical journey together.
